My Favourite Facial Cleansing Oils

Hey Fishies!

Today we’re talking all about facial cleansing oil. If you’re new to it, facial cleansing oil goes onto your skin dry. In the process, it emulsifies any dirt, makeup and impurities on your skin and when mixed with water, turns into a milky substance taking all the dirt away with it.

It’s amazing. It is probably the only product that works at taking away my mascara and saving me from dreaded racoon eyes.

So let’s get into it! These are my favourite cleansing oils, and bonus, they’re all drugstore (save those $$$)

1. Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil

This stuff is amazing. It’s exactly what it says – an ultra light oil which doesn’t feel like its clogging your pores, but it has enough slip that you can feel your makeup dissolving. Does wonders on waterproof mascara too.

2. BalΓ©a Cleansing Oil

This oil is a bit pricier in terms of drugstore, but is just as amazing. It’s enriched with vitamin E, jojoba and olive oil and is also paraben free.

3. L’Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil

This is not my favourite of the 3 oils, but it definitely works. The oil is super light weight and won’t clog pores. I’m not so sure about instant dissolving, but it gets all the dirt off your face.

4. Drugstore versions

Now this category isn’t really a ‘product’ per se… but have you guys ever noticed that right next to that name brand cleanser or shampoo, the drugstore’s in-house brand has an almost identical product? Same packaging and everything? If you’re strapped for cash or you love your local drugstore in-house brand, go for it! I know for my Canadian fishies, the Balea cleansing oil I mentioned is perfectly duped by Shoppers in-house “Life Brand” – like legitimately its the same bottle, pump, font, everything!

Hope this was helpful darlings! Until next time πŸ˜‰
